By downloading or using Caloscope ("the App"), these terms will automatically apply to you. Please read them carefully before using the App.

1. Medical Disclaimer

CALOSCOPE IS NOT A MEDICAL APP. THE INFORMATION PROVIDED IS FOR INFORMATIONAL AND EDUCATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY.

• The App provides calorie and macronutrient estimations based on user input and standard formulas (like Mifflin-St Jeor). These are estimations and may not be accurate for every individual.
• Consult a physician or qualified healthcare professional before starting any new diet, nutrition program, or weight management goal, especially if you have pre-existing health conditions, eating disorders, or are pregnant/nursing.
• Never disregard professional medical advice because of something you read in this App.

2. Use of the App

• You are responsible for keeping your phone and access to the App secure.
• We are not responsible for any data loss occurring from hardware failure, app uninstallation (if not backed up), or device loss.
• You agree not to use the App for any illegal or unauthorized purpose.

3. In-App Purchases and Subscriptions

• Caloscope offers a one-time payment to remove advertisements.
• All purchases are handled via the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
• Refunds are subject to the policies of the respective app stores.
• We reserve the right to change the pricing of our premium features at any time.

4. Intellectual Property

• The App, its original content (excluding user-generated logs), features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of the developer.
• The "Caloscope" name and logo are protected by copyright and trademark laws.

5. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall the developer be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, or other intangible losses, resulting from:

• Your use of or inability to use the App.
• Any unauthorized access to your local data if your device is compromised.
• Any health issues resulting from following the caloric targets suggested by the App.

6. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of your jurisdiction, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

7. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
